New Doll-housemate

Summer Glau has joined the cast of Dollhouse after previously starring on failed television shows like Firefly and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. She will play a Dollhouse employee who shares a past with Echo.

Good news if you are a Laura Linney fan

For those of you who enjoy Laura Linney's work as much as I do, this news is for you: Linney has signed on to executive produce and star in a Showtime show tentatively titled The C Word. The show centers on Linney who has recently found out she has cancer and wants to change her life. The shocker - this is a half hour COMEDY. No word yet on when the show will begin filming and/or airing.

Now only if I had Showtime...

Spoiler: Entourage - The case of the missing underwear

Here is what happened on this week's episode:

- Vince hears someone in the house in the middle of the night. At first nothing seems to be missing but then Vince and Turtle realize that all of their underwear is missing from the laundry room. Ari freaks out because he thinks Vince has a stalker. Ignoring Ari's advice to contact a security person, Vince and Turtle decide to buy guns instead. They were told multiple times to be careful with the guns but as soon as they got them in their hands Drama fires and breaks a glass door. They then decide that calling Ari's security guy is a less dangerous option.
- After last week's fight with the executive, Drama is called and told he is "not needed" on his show's set anymore. Turtle and Jamie say they truly appreciate what he did, but the guys agree that his job is important so he should apologize. After a few semi-funny scenes where Drama bribes the security guard and barges into the executive's office, Drama is told he is not fired but that instead the executive is going to torture him.
- Eric starts his new job and within minutes pisses off a fellow employee who seems to be a real jerk. The new office is supposed to work so well because all the employees work as a team, yet this guy refuses to let E help him. In the end, E looks like the hot shot and the other guy lost his chance to sign someone, which will probably lead to more drama between them in future episodes.

The TV edition of where are they now (plus where are they going)

Check out this slideshow that features all of the fall's returning shows explaining where they left off and where they go from here. It is a great refresher for those who forgot during the long summer months. I am planning to do something similar as we get closer to the premiere dates of the shows I follow.

Awkward Jamie Lynn Sigler interview moment

This is one of those oops moments that afterward just make you laugh. I suggest you follow the link and watch the video. Reporters really need to make sure they do their research.

Some Dancing partners revealed

Though the official announcement isn't due out until Monday, some of the season's Dancing with the Stars pairs have leaked. So far we know that Aaron Carter is paired with Karina; Debi Mazar is paired with Maksim; Ashley Hamilton is paired with Edyta; and Donny Osmond is paired with Kym. I can't wait to find out who the rest of the pairs will be.

Britney read the top 10 on Letterman last night

Very adorable (at least if I have an opinion, which I do since I'm a Britney fan). Watch below.

Spoiler: Entourage - It would hurt you more to lose your best friend's girl

Here is a recap of what happened on this week's Entourage episode:

- Jamie and Drama are filming the kissing scene for his television show and Turtle is uncomfortable with having to watch it. After filming, Jamie is approached by a producer who wants to offer her another job, but Drama immediately realizes that all this man wants to do is sleep with Jamie. Drama, feeling protective, tries to follow Jamie, but at one point loses her. In the end, Drama stands up to the boss, who admits he only wants to sleep with Jamie, and the boss says Drama made a wrong move; The producer threatens to have Drama killed off the show.
- Ari's wife finally forgives him for lying about Andrew's affair. While at the office that day, Andrew's wife storms around like a crazy woman threatening every other woman and looking for the one having an affair with her husband. Ari worked some magic though - with both Andrew and his wife - and it seems like the two are going to work at their relationship especially now that the affair is over.
- The guys give Eric a hard time about calling Ashley Sloan. Eric also has another meeting about the manager job position and he decides to take the job with Murray, despite Sloan's assistance in getting him the initial interview. Meanwhile, Ashley is pissed at Eric and he doesn't know why. We know that she caught him in a lie and is pissed and in the end Eric admits to Ashley that he still has feelings for Sloan.
- It is Turtle's first day of college and Vince hangs around campus while Turtle is in class, which to me seems weird. But it does lead to Vince finding a hot college girl to hook up with so all is well with the world according to Vince.

Have you been wondering all summer who Jay Leno is going to have as his first guest?

Then wonder no more. According to this article, Jay Leno's first guest on his new show starting in a few weeks is going to be Jerry Seinfeld. Any thoughts? Are you planning to watch Leno's new show? Is Seinfeld a worthy first guest? Let me know.

Dancing with the Stars updates

Two important points of information about Dancing with the Stars:

1) There are now limits on how many hours couples can practice as a way to try to stop the contestants from getting injured, which I think is a very important move, though I'm not sure limiting the hours they work will help much.

2) The season nine cast will be revealed Monday! Who do you want to be on the show?

One dance show ends and another begins

So only a few days after the summer dance show So You Think You Can Dance named its winner, another equally as popular dance show America's Best Dance Crew premiered. I know I am a few days late in posting, but I completely forgot it was starting its season so early. Anyway, in the season four premiere that originally aired Sunday night, we saw nine new crews show us their stuff. Here are some highlights and other tidbits I would like to point out.

When I watch ABDC I never listen to what the judges have to say: Lil Mama is so annoying to listen to, Shane tries too hard to act cool and JC rarely has anything constructive to say. Also, Mario is an awkward host. So, pretty much, what all this means is that I only watch this show for the dancing. That said, I am already impressed with a few of the crews. I am also impressed that the show is expanding the genres being performed. I like that there is a Latin crew on this year, but no matter what the breakers are always the best. My two favorites already are Rhythm City and Massive Monkees. They both performed cool tricks and were very entertaining.

Right off the bat a crew was sent home and the first casualty of the season was Fresh. I didn't think they were all that great and am not sad to see them leave. Let me know if you watched and what you thought. Who are your early favorites? Do you agree that the judges are so annoying? As always, I'd love to hear feedback.

OTH scoop - or, better put, nonanswer

I sometimes post parts of TvGuide's weekly scoop and this one has to do with One Tree Hill. I'm posting it here because I was also wondering the same thing.

Any word yet on how they're going to explain Lucas and Peyton's sudden absence from the coming season of One Tree Hill now that the actors aren't returning? It's killing me! — Samantha D.
ADAM: A show rep suggests that it will involve a bit of rebooting. "Obviously, we have new stories to tell, but at the same time, this season very much feels like classic One Tree Hill." How so? "Some characters might be in an episode for just one scene, but it's a scene that serves the story and the serialized nature of our season." Translation: They haven't figured it out yet.

Remember when Who Wants to Be a Millionaire was television gold?

According to this article, the special 11 episode run of Who Wants to be a Millionaire, which is on to commemorate the show's 10th anniversary, is not doing so hot in the ratings. While the original show was a must-watch, few people watched it this time around. Why do you think it was so popular the first time around yet is having trouble finding fans now? What has changed? Why did you watch in the past but tuned into something else Sunday night?

Paula Abdul drama

I have been kind of trying to stay away from all the Paula Abdul stuff, but I feel like now is the time to bring it up. Apparently, Fox offered her money, but she turned it down and announced, through Twitter, that she will be parting ways with American Idol. Everyone seemed shocked, which makes me think it is not real. Since auditions for next season have already started, Fox decided that each audition will include a guest judge - all of whom are female pop singers. So far there has been Victoria Beckham and Katy Perry. And while this covers things from the AI side, Paula has been shown an outpouring of love in the meantime. Every show seems to want her. From So You Think You Can Dance to Dancing with the Stars, they all know that loyal Paula fans will follow her anywhere. But for some reason this all just seems a little forced for me. I can't figure out exactly how this could help Idol ratings, but maybe this is all a ploy to prove how worthy Paula is? Who knows. What do you think? Is she really gone or are they pulling our string?

Spoiler: Entourage - So, why is it that Sloan is even still poking around?

On this week's episode of Entourage, the guys played in a charity golf event. Vince and Drama were paired with Tom Brady and Mark Wahlberg; Ari was paired with someone he knows from work and the man's two sons; and Turtle and E were paired with a man who is a celebrity management legend. Some information you need to know: Though we are supposed to think that at least a month has passed, things between Sloan and E are still awkward; Plus, E lied to Ashley about Sloan; Turtle snubs Tom Brady when they first meet because Turtle is a loyal Giants fan, but after Tom gets all nice and invites Turtle and Jamie to his house for dinner, Turtle switches pages; Ari has Lloyd caddying during the episode; Ari is seriously in the doghouse with his wife following Andrew's affair revelation; Sloan is the one who got the management legend to want to play golf with Eric and they fight because E does not want to be her charity case.

That's about all that happened. Anyone else think that the episodes this season seem really short in length? Feel free to leave me comments about what you thought of the episode.

New Leno show secrets revealed

Here is an article highlighting some of the "secrets" that have to this point been hidden about the new Jay Leno show. I like the idea about keeping the opening short and getting right to the monologue, but I'm not sure the racetrack will do any good. What do you think? Is this a recipe for success or demise?

Winner plans to donate prize

I just read that Jeanine plans to donate her $250,000 prize to the charity Making Memories, which helps people suffering from Alzheimer's. So not only is she an amazing dancer, but she is also caring enough to use her winnings for the greater good. She is a deserving winner, but this only makes me more happy that America voted for her.

Some fall TV shows to watch

Here is a slideshow of some of the fall season's most anticipated new shows. I am looking forward to a few of these, especially Glee. What do you think? Are there any new shows premiering this fall that you are looking forward to watching?

Spoiler: A new SYTYCD champion is named

As tonight's So You Think You Can Dance season finale came to a conclusion, Cat named America's favorite dancer. But before that point we got to see highlight reels as well as a bunch of this season's favorite dances performed again.

The show opened with the top 20 performing The Wiz group routine from earlier in the season. It was just as great this time as it was the first time. Then each of the judges got to request their favorite routines of the season. Adam wanted to see Jeanine and Phillip's hip hop routine from the first episode. It was choreographed by Tabitha and Napoleon and was performed to the song Mad. Then, Janette and Brandon danced the Argentine tango after Nigel requested it. We then saw Asuka and Vitolio's waltz, choreographed by Louis, after Debbie claimed it was her favorite. Mary then said her favorite from the season was the Travis Wall choreographed routine performed by Jeanine and Jason. Mia then said her favorite performance was the Louis choreographed samba performed by Max and Kayla. We also got the opportunity to rewatch the Calle Ocho top 16 group performance. This was the hip hop/samba fusion, which Debbie admitted was also a standout for her. Lil C's favorite was the Bollywood routine Jason and Caitlin performed week one. Also performed was Randi and Evan's butt dance, which was choreographed by Mia and requested by Adam. Mary said one of her other faves was Jeanine and Brandon's paso doble from the night before, also choreographed by Louis. Nigel's other favorite routine was the Mia choreographed addiction dance performed by Kayla and Kupono. Tyce, who got limited face time tonight, said his favorite dance was the Doriana disco routine Janette and Brandon performed. We also had the opportunity to watch the Tyce choreographed breast cancer dance performed by Melissa and Ade after Mia requested a repeat.

As a special treat we also got to see the top eight perform the Mia choreographed Chorus Line dance and the six judges - Mia, Tyce, Debbie, Mary, Adam and Nigel - joined in for a few eight counts at the end. They didn't do too much, but they looked happy and the audience seemed to love it.

But the real reason for tonight's two hour episode was to name a winner. So let me get to the results. From the top we heard that last night a record amount - 21.6 million - of votes were cast. About one hour into the episode we learned that Kayla was the fourth place dancer. A while later we found out that in third place was Evan. This left Jeanine and Brandon as the top two, which is exactly like Nigel predicted. As the show came to a close, Jeanine was named America's favorite dancer! I said yesterday that anyone could win and I would be pleased, but honestly, based on the last few weeks, Jeanine was the stand out. She flourished in recent weeks and truly showed America what a wonderful dancer she is.

Well, another season comes to an end, which makes me sad. But the great news is that we won't have to wait long for a new season. In about a month SYTYCD begins airing its sixth season as a part of Fox's fall schedule. I cannot wait. For now, what did you think of the episode? Were you happy to see some of the season's best performances again? And, more importantly, do you think the best dancer won? Leave it here.

I don't know whether to be pissed or cry

So I got home from work tonight to find that only the second hour of So You Think You Can Dance taped. When I went to record the show a few days ago, the guide said that last week's results show was airing again from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. so I only taped the new hour. Well, apparently the show was two hours, which means I missed a lot. That said, I do not want to critique the dances I did see because I would feel like I was favoring some over others.

But I do have this to say: I think any of the four finalists could win and I would be OK with it. While Evan hasn't really proven himself this season and Kayla seems overpraised and cocky, they are still just as great as Brandon and Jeanine. I will be pleased no matter what the result tomorrow night.

So for now, if you know of a website where I can watch SYTYCD episodes I would greatly appreciate it. I wonder if I was the only person this affected. Seems fishy that the guide changed like it did. I feel incomplete without seeing all of the dances. I am now going to go cry myself to sleep.

Spoiler: Entourage - You can kiss a lot of models or just call your best friend for a favor

On tonight's episode of Entourage we find out that production for Vince's Ferrari movie has been pushed back so he has nothing to do for the next 12 weeks. He proposes going away, but all of the guys say they have other commitments. He points out that he has all the money is the world and tons of free time yet no one to spend it with.

In other happenings, Andrew does not go home one night and his wife calls Ari's wife looking for him. Ari's wife then immediately jumps to the conclusion that Andrew must be having an affair and Ari lies for Andrew. Andrew swears he has ended his fling with the junior agent but then he sees her flirting with David Schwmmer while trying to seal a deal and Andrew freaks. Ari gives him advice and tells him to think of his children who would not want a father who is a liar. Andrew misconstrues this advice and chooses to leave his wife, further screwing up Ari's life.

As for the storylines of the other guys, we have Eric figuring out that his business - the Murphy Group - has no real purpose so he decides to close it; Jamie taking Turtle back to school shopping and forcing him to buy preppy, Chuck Bass-inspired clothes; and Drama trying to cast a love interest for his television show character. This last plot was actually quite funny. After kissing tons of hot women all day, Drama swears he had no chemistry with any of them. He then begs the director to hire a known actress, though the part is only a one time, few minute thing. So Drama begs Turtle to get Jamie to agree to be his kisser, which she agrees to do.

That was pretty much it. Ashley is still annoying; I still feel bad for Lloyd; and I wish Ari's wife had a name.

Feel free to leave your thoughts on the episode.
