I have stayed away from the Jon & Kate Plus 8 drama thus far, but following last night's "big announcement" that the couple is divorcing, I feel the need to post about it. Here is an Associated Press story about the separation. As for what is happening, I have never watched the show, but that doesn't mean I do not know about it. Everywhere you look, from the Today show to Us Magazine, there are stories about the couple. I just find it very interesting that people are so caught up in these people's lives. Last night, following the show and the big announcement, almost every one of my Facebook friends who had recently updated their statuses had written something about poor Jon and Kate. I found it mind blowing. Why do people care? Have you been following the show? What appeals to you?
