The show may be dead, but does that mean the characters die too?

The Globe's Matthew Gilbert put together this very interesting slideshow highlighting a few of his favorite characters from some of this year's canceled shows. He says he accepts that the shows are gone, but that he wishes some of the more lovable characters could stay.

From all the season’s canceled network comedies and dramas, are there characters we wanted to know better? Are there ones we can never get enough of? Here’s a proposal to renew a few characters and give them a second chance.

Here is a link to the slideshow. And it brings up an interesting point: If you could save any character from any show who would you save? For me I think it would be Lorelai Gilmore from Gilmore Girls. I know the show had to end, but Lorelai was the most wonderful character. I would love to see her again.
