Oprah to announce end date for her show

And in the fashion of other talk show hosts, like Jay Leno, she is announcing the date of her last episode years in advance. According to this article, and others that are popping up all over the Internet, Oprah's last show will air September 9, 2011. Though her post-Oprah Winfrey Show plans are not yet clear, we do know she is launching a television network so it is possible she will switch her focus to that. The full announcement is said to be provided on her show tomorrow.

Personally, I'm not an avid watcher so this news doesn't disappoint me much, but I can imagine there are people out there who are devastated. I'm sure this doesn't mean there will be no more Oprah, she'll just be used in a different capacity. As far as I can tell, she isn't ever really going anywhere.
