PP: "All you can really do is try to be happy for her"

Below are a few important plot points from Thursday's Private Practice episode. As for the medical aspects of this episode, the show tackled electroshock therapy and genetic selection, two controversial medical topics.

- Addison is now the owner of a cat after a patient of hers dies and she took over ownership.
- Naomi is realizing that she is not really in complete charge of her practice. William has all of the control; he even hired someone without Naomi knowing.
- Charlotte is afraid to fail again, but her new specialty isn't catching on as quickly as she would like. But then Cooper finds a way to help her find patients, and the two plot expanding her work.
- Pete continues to struggle with his feelings for Violet. He is trying not to push her into coming back to him, but he also still has very strong feelings for her.
