We all knew that with a new person at the helm of the show we were in for some changes. Well Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair recently announced that she is shaking things up. The first major change is that Dustin Milligan, who plays nice guy jock Ethan, won't be returning to the show next season. But new castmate Matt Lanter, who plays bad boy Liam, will become a show regular next year. Getting rid of the good to make way for the bad? Are bad boy characters more able to stir up drama? I think that was the thought process behind this move. But I have to admit, the show will definitely be different without Ethan.

90210 regular will not return next season

I really like the character of Ethan and I'm bummed that he's leaving. I feel like he's got the same presence that Steve had in the original, he's kind of the relief from the drama.
