Here is a story getting national attention about Boston's NBC affiliate refusing to air the new Jay Leno show nightly when it starts in September. The station instead will air an additional hour of news. Ed Ansin, the station owner, said he believes a local newscast at 10 p.m. will draw better ratings than Leno would. I actually completely disagree and would not be happy if the new Leno show was not aired. Even the other option, airing Leno at 11 p.m. does not work for me because that only pushes back the time Conan and Jimmy would air. What do you think? Would you prefer to watch Leno or local news coverage?
