Here is the good, the bad and the ugly of tonight's episode.
- Naomi is still staying with the Wilson family and she is a bad house guest. She complains about the food cooked, shares too much information, wants extra chores done for her, etcetera. Near the end of the episode the family tells Annie that Naomi living there cannot be a long term solution and the family agrees they all want her to leave. So when Naomi's sister comes into town, Naomi decides she will live with her so they can deal with their father situation. There was also a scene at the end of the episode where Naomi's sister, Jen, tells Ethan that she won't ever tell Naomi how Jen was Ethan's "first." Drama, drama, drama.
- Dixon is sad Silver is going to a new school because they won't ever see one another, but she insists she can't go back to her old high school. Silver gets to her new, Catholic school and realizes she knows nothing about religion. She is paired with an extremely religious student to tutor her and things do not go too well. Silver tells Dixon she wants to keep her personal life away from school, but Dixon is upset because that leaves very little time for them to be together. And then, when Silver's new tutor friend recognizes Silver as the girl in a sex tape video she was sent online, the religious girl decides she will fast until Silver tells everyone at the new school about her past sins as a way to repent. Dixon points out to Silver that she is hiding and avoiding dealing with her problems and in the end she does tell everyone at her new school about the sex tape and bipolar disorder, but it does not make her feel better, as the new friend had told her it would.
- Naomi and Liam are going on their first official date. But then Liam's cousin comes into town and Naomi makes Annie go on a double date with them even after Annie protests about hating blind dates. It is obvious that Annie is not having a good time because the cousin is weird and she does not like Liam. Also, it is again clear that Naomi tries way too hard with Liam and doesn't act naturally. Annie tells Liam she dislikes him and gives him reasons why, and he admits he is shy around new people. He changes mid-way through the date, begins to act normal and just before leaving asks Annie out on a date after seeming to have a great time with Naomi. Annie, being a good friend, tells Naomi and Naomi confronts Liam. Liam says he doesn't do the boyfriend thing and that Naomi should get out while she can. Naomi interprets this to mean that he is trying to sabotage their relationship and that is why he asked out Annie, but Annie just thinks he is a bad guy.
- Adrianna and Navid are planning and daydreaming about their perfect future together. They don't seem to be very realistic about their decision. When Adrianna tells Naomi about their plan to get married and keep the baby, Naomi acts appropriately and tells Adrianna she is crazy. Naomi is also the person who reminds Adrianna about the need to tell Navid Ty is the baby's father because Navid thinks the father is some random guy Adrianna hooked up with while in rehab. Adrianna and Navid decide they will go to Navid's parents, who he thinks will surely help them now that they have decided to get married and raise the baby. They freak out when they see Adrianna is pregnant but warm to the idea of helping; that is until they find out Navid isn't the father and they refuse to help. His parents also tell him they cannot get married. Navid chooses Adrianna over his family and decides to move in with her. He even redoes the proposal, this time much more elegantly and with a ring. Before Adrianna says yes, she tells him who the baby's father is. He freaks out that she lied to him and made her promise to never lie again, but he does forgive he because he loves her more than anything else.
I liked this episode. It was usual 90210 style. What did you think? Are you enjoying this show lately as much as I am? After a slow start early in the season, the show is truly starting to grow on me.
