Elmo to talk to kids about the recession

In a PBS primetime special airing Wednesday at 8 p.m., Elmo and the members of Sesame Street, with the help of Al Roker and Deborah Roberts, are going to try to help young kids understand the recession. The show, titled Families Stand Together: Feeling Secure in Tough Times, will feature real families and their tips about how to survive the tough economy. Below is a video preview. I'd like to hear what you think about this. While I like the idea, I'm not sure kids will understand it fully. I also feel like this is a little late. While the economy is still in trouble, this would have been more effective a few months ago. I'm not sure it will work. But it's good of them for trying.
