And, boy, am I shocked. According to this blog post, the new judge, who replaces Paula Abdul, is Ellen DeGeneres. I am shocked for two reasons: 1) When Ellen guest hosted on So You Think You Can Dance this summer she was awful. Her criticism was non-existent and she was only a fluff-spewer who repeated the same jokes throughout the episode. The SYTYCD people must have also known what a disappointing judge she was; they did not even trust her as a person of importance, adding her as a not needed fourth judge instead of placing her as the usual extra third judge. 2) She has no music/singing knowledge. What right does she have to pass judgment on singers? I think this is a mistake.
