Apparently the Senate thinks we are all idiots and that the nearly a year they gave us to get prepared for the switch to all digital transmission wasn't long enough. Read the Boston.com story here.
My opinion: There have been commercials about the change nonstop on all of the cable channels. People know it is coming. They could give us years to get ready and there would still be the handful of people who were oblivious to the whole thing. The Senate shouldn't really be catering to these people who don't pay attention and aren't prepared.
UPDATE: The date may not be pushed back from Feb. 17 after all.
