Castle finds out that he is being considered as the next author to write books for the James Bond series. He loves the series and it would be an honor to write the novels, but it would mean giving up on the Nikki Heat series. At work later that day, Castle starts to doubt he helpfulness when the detectives seem to be doing well on their case without him. Once he is offered the Bond series, Castle seriously considers taking it, even though it means walking away from Beckett. But then he learns that his publisher is willing to pay him much more than the Bond publishers will to write three more Nikki Heat books. And, just when Beckett thought she was getting rid of him, her boss reminds her that it means a lot to the mayor that she continue to cooperate with Castle while he does research.
One side thought: During the scene at the book launch party, where Beckett and Castle are fighting about what decision he should make, I so badly wanted them to kiss.
Also, in case you haven't heard, Castle has been picked up for the entire season so we can expect quite a few more new episodes.
