SVU fights Our Special Love

During last night's Law & Order: SVU, the detectives take down an agency called Our Special Love, which specializes in the protection of the true love between children and adults. Essentially, this organization based itself on the belief that pedophilia is a type of sexuality like heterosexuality or homosexuality. As pointed out by the detectives and doctors during the trial, the man who was being charged was presenting himself as the victim who was being prosecuted for doing something normal. When a guilty verdict was found at the end, I was relieved. But the episode did what most SVU episodes do for me, it made me think. I'm not sure OSL is an actual organization (I was too scared to even Google it), but the fact that there are people who think like this in the world makes me sick. How can we protect children when there are support groups like this one? I only hope the message of the episode last night made people stop and think about the importance of protecting children from sexual abuse.

    I did google it, OSL is actually an organization for children with cancer. However, there really is an organization that maintains that pedophelia is a normal type of sexuality - turns my stomach.

    I think that groups such as nambla should be taken out and shot no child should ever have to bgo threw that trauma.I am glad that bare society is doing what it can to keep kids safe

    OMG! I saw it too. I googled it but didn't thoroughly review the results. Sadly, I'm sure that there are sick people out there that believe in adult-child relationships. If not, Porno would not be so popular. Sad
