On Tuesday, So You Think You Can Dance aired its last audition episode before Vegas and the stop was Salt Lake City. Mia was the guest judge and what made this episode special was the high number of impressive ballroom couples.
Wednesday night featured the first few rounds of Vegas week. From the auditions, 152 people made it to this round and when the episode ended only 77 were left. All the contestants were asked to perform solos for the judges to remind them why they are special and before you knew it 41 people were sent home. The shock of the night though came when they sent home Evan's brother Ryan. He was a fan favorite and I was sad to see him go. I almost wonder if they held him to a higher standard and that was why he fell short.
I follow Adam on Twitter and he announced earlier in the week that with the next episode we should be prepared to start feeling a connection with the dancers. I'm looking forward to this and also for a top 20 to be announced.
