GG: All Vanessa really wants is her parents' approval

I have to admit that this week's Gossip Girl episode was rather entertaining mostly because of Vanessa and Blair's scheming. Here is the link to the New York Magazine Daily Intel reality index blog post and below are a few of my own additions.

- Plus 10 for bringing to light/reminded us of Blair's obsession with Audrey Hepburn. This plays a very large role in many of the books and I liked being reminded that the books are not completely forgotten when the show is written.
- I don't really believe the Buckley's would force Carter to work off his debt on an oil rig. Minus five because beating him up and exiling him seems more realistic.
- While talking with Dan, both Vanessa and Jenny say they think Olivia is easy going. Minus two because, first of all, have they met her? And, secondly, she's a movie star.
- I never believed Carter really loved Serena, but minus two because even if he didn't want her to feel sorry for him, he wouldn't have willingly chosen to perform slave labor for the next 10 years.

Blair quote of the night (though there were quite a few front runners): "You're supposed to say everything is going to be all right! Where did you learn how to give a pep talk, Guantánamo?"

As always feel free to leave comments about parts of the episode you found realistic or unrealistic. And until next time, you know you love me.
